Sermon POints:
Matthew 5:9 - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Steps for being a peacemaker:
1) Listen well
> James 1:19 - Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
2) Always desire to forgive
> Matthew 18:21-22 - Then Peter came up and said to Him, Lord how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive Him? As many as seven times? Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times."
3) Humility is essential.
> Colossians 3:12-13 - Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other, as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Matthew 5:10-12 - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kind of evil against you falsely on My account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Points of Reflection:
1) Persecution can be exited when you live for the kingdom.
2) Persecution shouldn't steal your joy.
